As per reports, the staff of Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) and Mhaji buses, who have been ferrying passengers to and from Old Goa for the decennial exposition have not been provided with shelter or food. This is in contrast to the Goa police and traffic cell officials who have the comfort of a restroom and food is served. As per an official in the Exposition Secretariat Committee, the latter category of staff had given their list of requirements while the KTC staff did not. At least from humanitarian point of view, without being asked and seeing that the transport staff is suffering, the Committee could have extended facilities similar to that arranged for the police and traffic personnel. There is still time to rectify the situation since the Exposition continues till January 5, 2025. The transport staff would be thankful and bless the Committee for their act of kindness.
