Serbia's Djokovic is greatest tennis star of all time

Serbia's 36-year-old Novak Djokovic became the men's tennis Grand Slam champion for the 24th time as he defeated Russia's Daniil Medvedev in straight sets 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 in the final of the US Open at Flushing Meadows that was replete with the best tennis histrionics seen recently. Now, there is no doubt that in the men's tennis history, Novak is the greatest tennis player of all times. His other records are that he has been No 1 in tennis rankings for 390 weeks as also he has the record for having contested in 36 Grand Slam finals, beating Chris Evert, who has two less. Also Novak has now one more Grand Slam in the Open era than Serena Williams with 23 and is now tied in the all-time record with Margaret Court who has 24. More awaits Novak if he can win just one more. He also became the oldest US Open winner at 36 years of age surpassing Ken Rosewall in 1970 at 35 years of age. An incredible achievement by an incredibly athletic tennis player of all time. Stunning it will be if next year Novak can win just one more to go all clear in the Grand Slam winners tally.
