Election Commission on Friday froze the symbol of Shiv Sena party: the bow and arrow. The symbol initiated in 1984-85 and later in the year 1989 became official symbol for party. However the row of bow and arrow symbol claimed by both Uddhav Thackeray and Shinde camp came to an end after the decision by Election Commission. Now that the party has to decide its own name and symbol the party established by late Balasaheb Thackeray has taken another turn. Party has decided to call for a meeting on Sunday to decide over the same as there is Andheri assembly bypoll in coming days. On Dussehra day both groups under leadership of Uddhav and Shinde had gathered at Shivaji Park and Bandra ground respectively to show their strength. The supporters also gathered to show their strength towards the party. It's now party's decision to submit suitable name and symbol to EC who has given October 10 as day for submission. Taking into consideration Hindutva and to keep alive the late Balasaheb's legacy it's time for both to ponder on the name and symbol. Shiv Sena has always been the Hindutva and Sanathan dharma believer and also great followers of Shivaji and the ultimate name and symbol is likely to be combination of both.
