The reforms in the farm sector were very much needed. But the way the government goes about calling any dissent anti-national, etc is insulting. What was the need for unconstiutional clauses like barring access to courts and DM to be final arbitrator, no clarity on MSP etc and after not taking them into confidence seriously, thus forcing them to peacefully overcome government might en route to Delhi?
The attitude of government is "My way or the Highway". So the farmers are now on the highway.
Farmers are an important segment of the society and they too have relatives in the armed forces and police. That others are jumping on the bandwagon is not their fault. The government must prove it has got the message and acknowledge.
We in fact need more democracy and a government that of all the people of India, for all the people of India and by all the people of india.
