Why is govt silent on Opinion Poll Day?

I was born in Goa after the Opinion Poll, but I am full of gratitude for those who selflessly fought and were involved to keep Goa as a separate state with a distinct identity. I think the Goa Opinion Poll in 1967 was the best example of what Goans can do for Goa if we come together against all odds/challenges; saying that Goa is now at a crisis stage with regards to its land, culture, identity, Konkani language, local demographics, landscape/environment etc. Using the Opinion Poll confidence/example, can we unite and save Goa?

We have huge challenges facing us today, yes from corporates and parties loaded with black money from outside Goa who are all out to devastate our land to maximize their profits, but worse from our own ruling Goan politicians and many Goan MLAs, who are acting as brokers to all those who want to buy out Goa! Goa govt which appears to have the money to recognize so many irrelevant things has not bothered to announce any recognition/celebration event honouring the heroes of the Opinion Poll; what does this tell us?  Goa can only be saved if we come together.
