Claiming 100 per cent vaccination of first dose will surprise the unvaccinated! A couple of days back our chief minister claimed that his state has supposedly completed cent per cent vaccination with the first dose for adults, and added that he cannot announce the feat because the census also features Goans who are outside the state, country for various reasons including employment. Yesterday, the Prime Minister congratulated the people of Goa for the feat. But as our politicos say, “Goans are smart”.
You cannot fool the smart Goan and claim something that is a long way ahead. After reading just 20-odd comments from the news posted on social media, the majority claim that they haven’t received even the first dose and also know people who haven’t got a single jab.
Forget the vaccination, my neighbours are reluctant to wear masks.
The unvaccinated will be surprised to know that they are supposedly vaccinated or probably not in the census. And the vaccinated know this is just a word of mouth. Such self-pats on the back should be avoided.
