Every Indian state regulates taxi fares to ensure fairness, and Goa’s framework aligns with this norm, ensuring transparency and timely payments. If 3% of Goa’s population uses these services, around 1.73 lakh additional trips annually could boost the economy alongside tourist demand.
Mere opposition, like noise in a crowd, hinders progress. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s bold vision, including empowering women entrepreneurs, deserves support. While some hesitate to endorse this transformative step, its potential to uplift all stakeholders is clear. Let’s champion this inclusive, forward-thinking initiative for a vibrant Goa.
