Vehicles are frequently found abandoned at heavy footfall public areas like the Margao railway station, market and the Manohar Parrikar indoor stadium, Navelim either on the road shoulder or in the fields.
Besides being an awful sight they are also a huge security threat and can be used by terrorists to hide and detonate explosives causing death and destruction.
In these dangerous times we live in, it is imperative that such vehicles are either towed away to landfills or sold as scrap by the government authorities, in addition costs should be imposed on the owners for despoiling the landscape.
