With the tourist season in full swing many accidents are caused by Indian tourists, who come to Goa and put our lives in jeopardy. These tourists have total disregard for the state and its people by their drink and drive approach. So many lives have been lost due to accidents as tourists hire rented cars and drive under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The trouble is that they are not advised on how to behave when in Goa. Secondly, they get drugs freely from peddlers. And, after committing major accidents under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the police let them scot free without even registering an FIR against them. Had this to happen in Singapore, these unruly tourists would have been cooling their heels behind bars for years. They even taunt our girls and pass lewd remarks. If they did the same in some middle eastern country, they would be shot dead. Our police and government are going very soft on these criminals and sometimes even giving them VIP treatment. It appears that the police and our politicians are lured by the moolah that these guys bring in.
