Air quality screens needed in Goa

With air quality in Goa getting worse, it is important to install Air Quality Index (AQI) visual screens in all towns and villages at busy public places. These screens will help people know the level of pollution in the air and take care of their health.

I appeal to Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas and the Colva Panchayat to lead by example and install these screens immediately in Benaulim and Colva.

No lights on busy Siolim road puts lives at risk

The road widening work from Old Theatre junction (Tarchibhat) to Laxmi Narayan temple at Bamnon Vaddo has been completed, but no new street-light poles have been erected. The divider has been fixed, but the Electricity Department, which removed the old poles, has not made any alternative arrangement for lighting on this busy MDR-10 stretch at Siolim.There is heavy traffic on this road, and stray cattle and dogs are often seen sitting along the stretch.
