To start off with the Delhi headquartered BJP Party has proven to be the worst amongst the national parties in terms of allowing rampant real estate destruction in Goa, either by looking the other way on illegalities, passing legislations like 17/2, 39/A etc to convert large ecological areas including forests/trees/hills/Non Development Zones etc or working around/misinterpreting existing laws; all which is done to favour mainly wealthy outstation real estate companies. Saying that, I also had similar experience with Congress ministers as regards to real estate nexus with outstation politicians/real estate companies. On AAP, I note a clear hypocrisy. While AAP politicians are very active in protests in other parts of Goa on issues particularly related to real estate development; they allow massive illegalities in constituencies they have been voted to power: In Colva for instance there are at least 3 cases of massive environmental violations where a major Goan land owner has sold of large areas of eco-land to wealthy north Indian builders. All Delhi based national parties must commit to zero tolerance of illegal and environmentally destructive development; else we need to start phasing out these parties from Goa.
