Most Goans are anxiously waiting for the assembly election results to come out very soon as they are hoping to see a brand new government headed by a truly secular political party taking over this time and finally ruling Goa for the next five years in the state. Will that really happen in Goa? Or are we going to be ruled by the same old dispensation once again after bullying/buying a few power-hungry newly elected mercenaries from opposition camps after the assembly election results are out in Goa?
Well, there are rumours doing the rounds saying that some leaders from the same old dispensation are already in touch with probable winning candidates of rival political camps and are believed to be promising them ministerial berths to help their party form the government even if it falls short of the required numbers. I feel that as long as the controversial anti-defection law is not amended, such type of dramas will continue to unfold and we voters will end up becoming jokers in front of these very same power hungry self-centered politicians after every election in Goa/India.
