Aravalli range plays key role in climatic balance

Destroying the natural structure of the Earth that has evolved over billions of years is extremely harmful, and we are experiencing its consequences today. When nature is challenged, it inevitably responds over time. Over the past few years, many questions have been raised in the country regarding the justification of mining activities and their impact on the environment. How long and to what extent can we continue development at the cost of uncontrolled exploitation of nature? What will be its long-term consequences? These are serious concerns. Although mining in the Aravalli mountain range has been temporarily halted due to court orders, the core issue still remains. This is because illegal mining often takes place in areas where legal mining is not permitted. The Aravalli range is considered one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world. It acts as a natural barrier, preventing desert sand from spreading into the plains. It is believed to block dust and sand from reaching regions of Haryana, Rajasthan, and western Uttar Pradesh.The Aravalli range plays a crucial role in maintaining climatic balance and managing groundwater resources across the region.
