Authorities should stop taking us for a bumpy ride

This is with reference to the report "Goa’s battered roads……. - The Goan Everyday - October 28,  2024." Battered roads are a common sight I suppose, in Goa and in other cities like Mumbai. Cracked roads, potholes, craters, uneven roads that's the norm. Rough, challenging ride this Diwali, yes! Then perhaps there will be patchwork or would you like to call it applying lipstick as a temporary measure for Diwali. Like in Mumbai for instance, we see patchwork before certain festivals. What we don't want to do is, going down to the root of the issue. But if it suits the authorities then, it is Diwali everyday for them, for us citizens, it is diwala. The authorities should stop taking us for a ride, and a bumpy ride!
