The new car park off the Benaulim beach has become a hub of antisocial activities after dark and the tourist police posted around seem to be blissfully unaware of nocturnal nefarious activities.
The area has become a haven for drunkards, drug users, peddlers and an arena for biker boys to show off their wheelies, stoppies and rubber smoking skills.
No waste bins have been provided either and the area is littered with liquor bottles, plastic cups, snack packets and polythene bags, courtesy partying by youngsters who descend at nightfall with high powered stereo systems.
The well intended tourist facility by the government has become a huge nuisance for locals and is fast morphing into a crime hub.
Regular policing during the night should be arranged and high mast flood lights installed to light up the vehicle park lest it turns into a permanent mafia dive.
