The Bhoma villagers have now reportedly issued a final warning to the government to drop the road expansion plans for the National Highway (NH) in Ponda taluka and have asked the same govt to go for a bypass road (as was promised by the then late CM Manohar Parrikar) instead as they still claim that almost 64 houses are actually in line for demolition and not just four houses as being claimed by PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral.
Now, why does Nilesh Cabral want to act so stubborn and still go ahead with the above controversial highway expansion plan by even demolishing the houses of these poor Bhoma villagers in Goa? Does he really know how much trouble and sacrifices people make for years to construct/build just one house in most parts of Goa today? And would he have kept quiet if his own house or the houses of some of his own party colleagues cum ministers were in line to be demolished due to the above highway expansion project in Goa? I think that Nilesh Cabral should listen to the Bhoma villagers and should come out with a permanent practical solution at the very earliest to finally fulfill all their long pending demands.
