The much anticipated meeting between BJP party chief Damodar 'Damu' Naik and Art & Culture Minister Govind Gaude was finally held recently at the BJPs South Goa district office in Margao after prolonged delay. During the meeting, Gaude was apparently hinted at his possible exit from the Cabinet for his anti-government statement while warning him to follow party discipline. The State BJP unit has not taken any action against Gaude so far but has said that a detailed report has now been forwarded to Delhi, and the central leadership will take an appropriate decision. Well, looking at the face of Gaude after the meeting, it looks like he has already been declared run out and maybe he's now waiting for the final decision of the third empire from New Delhi. Gaude has been displaying too much arrogance of late and slowly beginning to treat his own voters/tribal leaders like dirt behaving like one big medieval 'maharaja' in Goa. I feel that the sooner the State BJP unit sacks this arrogant minister, the better it will be for the BJP and all the tribal people in Goa.
