Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has made history in Goa by keeping a large number of portfolios with himself after removing several ministers from their posts. This raises a big question ” does CM Sawant not trust his own BJP cabinet ministers? Why is he delaying the reshuffle? Why is the BJP not giving the remaining portfolios to other MLAs, including those who switched from Congress to BJP? It looks like the BJP just wants to use them and then throw them away, like an empty cold drink can.
The opposition leader, Yuri Alemao, even said that CM Sawant should be given a crown for holding so many portfolios and trying to control everything like a one-man army. That’s why he answers questions in the Assembly for various departments himself and gets angry when the questions are tough.The CM should remove ministers who are unfit or unwilling to work for the people of Goa. We need change ” honest and corruption-free ministers. The government should stop selling Goa’s interests by passing bills that only benefit outsiders and not Goans.
There is also a shortage of beef in Goa, which is causing hardship to Muslim and Christian communities. It seems certain Hindu groups want to stop beef completely by targeting Muslim suppliers and putting them in jail, as if they have committed crimes. But in the past, even Hindus used to sacrifice bulls and buffaloes during traditional times. Many people in Goa dislike the BJP because they play religious politics, which divides citizens and hurts the unity of our country.
