After a complaint there was a raid at Sancoale that found that the gas cylinders being sold to the customers are underweight. This cheating racket is going on throughout the state of Goa. Previous many such rackets were brought to light but the gang to refill gas cylinders are still active without any fear of the law. The civil supply department should be alert at all time and check the weight of cylinders all over Goa. Why should the common man have to suffer after paying high prices to buy underweight cylinders. The agency owners are involved in these rackets and want easy money. In Guddi Paroda, we have a office of Bharat Gas cylinder agent but when we visit in the store/ office they doesn't have weight machine neither their pickup vehicles have a weight machine. The office doesn't have the board with registered number and agency owner's and company name mentioned on it which is against the law. Thanks to Verna police for exposing the gas decanting mafia. The Civil Supplies Minister must take strictly action so that such rackets don't repeat themselves.
