An uneasy calm has prevailed between Caretaker CM Pramod Sawant and his muscle flexing colleague. It appears on the surface there is apparent calm but the pot is boiling. Diplomacy seems to assure that all is well.The massive influx of employees in health sector from a single constituency needs no explanation. Nurses without serving bond period have been confirmed in service and they come from his constituency. The dynasty has now been promoted by BJP while blasting Congress about it.
Further to placate his colleague , Sawant has given Cabinet status to Sr Rane against all rules in force and totally sycophantic in nature.The vote share of husband and wife duo is cynosure of all eyes, but on expected lines because of largesse of employment opportunity in health services.
Will Sawant have the guts to tame the lion, by divesting him of health portfolio or will he succumb to pressure of blackmail of breaking the party? The storm is brewing from inside threatening stability from within. Sawant may not be able to curb the dissidence and swallow pride and authority by pretending to be proverbial ostrich by burying it's head in the sand.
