The area around a school in Benaulim has started resembling a dumpyard. The front of the building has garbage and discarded electricity poles while the rear of the building is home to construction debris, dead vegetation and other such stuff. Neither the panchayat, nor the school seems to be bothered by the squalid conditions around this temple of learning. Maybe the school should organise a cleaning drive with the active participation of the students (shramdaan) to remove waste from around their school. Perhaps installing a CCTV camera to nab the culprits who sully the environs can help.
