The news item of the floating solar project in Goa getting stalled for whatever reason, should not be surprising. Without getting into debate about the floating solar project, the important thing to note while planning such infrastructure projects is that, all other related agencies, the people on the ground should be brought to the discussion table at the conception stage itself. In this floating solar project, the Water Resources Department has held up the project, citing concern over dam water contamination. Unless there is proper coordination and collaboration among all concerned, no infrastructure project can be completed smoothly and within a specified time frame.
