Goa is witnessing rise in dacoity cases since last six months. After the April attack at Dhempo house and Dr Ghanekar in October at Mapusa now the third attack in Baina ,Vasco in early hours of Monday. The dacoits entered the flat by breaking the grills at Chamundi arcade in Baina and attacked family members with rods tied them up and fled with gold, silver and cash. The attackers are now using rods and wearing helmets with masks to keep hide their identity. The cases of theft and robbery are now common in Goa and despite security the thieves enter flats to rob gold, cash etc.Night patrolling ia important now in the city areas but without policemen in uniform. The patrolling itself should be done without a hint to criminals. With main accused in previous dacoities absconding, the police have managed to bring one of two persons behind bars for investigation. It's time to identify culprits using different methods.
