Cover mundkar houses under Mhaje Ghar scheme

A Goan mundkar's dwelling is typically located on land, which can include land designated as "settlement land". The legal rights of mundkars are specifically governed by the Goa, Daman and Diu Mundkars (Protection from Eviction) Act, 1975, which allows them to purchase the land their dwelling stands on. Mundkar, person who, with the owner's permission, constructed a dwelling house on land that did not belong to them and resides there and the mundkar is entitled to purchase the land occupied by their dwelling as per law. Mundcarial Land  is classified and designated for construction purposes, including residential and commercial projects. This differs from agricultural or eco-sensitive lands. A mundkar can apply to purchase the dwelling house and the land it occupies. To purchase the land, the mundkar must first be officially declared or registered as a mundkar by the Mamlatdar. After the purchase price is determined, the mundkar may receive financial assistance to complete the purchase. However, it would be more relaxable if  Mundacarial houses are covered under Mhaje Ghar Scheme, to wind up years of pending Mundkar issues in the state
