Crimes against women are rampant in UP

A few months ago the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a visit to the State had commended Yogi Adityanath on the law and order situation in the State when it was recording murders and rapes every other day. Even today the situation persists for crime particularly against women in the State and UP is clearly the rape and murder capital of the country by far beating any other State in India.  The situation in UP can be best explained in 2 recent incidents where hospitals were closed, one in Amethi - the Sanjay Gandhi hospital and the other the Radha Swami hospital in a town near Aligarh in Mainpuri district a few days back. There may have been specific instances where the hospital authorities may have failed in their duties leading to the death of patients for which the doctors and staff are responsible. These are the people who should have been pulled up rather than close the hospital. In fact for closure of the hospitals the Indian Medical Association should send a notice to the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath seeking an explanation.
