News is making headlines that one becomes rich first by joining the Congress party then later on by all out bargain sale of their purchase presumably for some crores each. With unemployment at record high, some people are having great difficulty in putting food on the table due to high inflation. A particular party indulges in mopping up Congress MLAs spending crores on their purchase giving absolutely no thought about the welfare of the common man which could otherwise be spent on the upkeep of dilapidated and outdated infrastructure. In the name of development these defectors shift allegiances overnight to only enrich themselves without sparing a thought on development which was promised in their constituencies, wherein very little or nothing has been done during their terms in office. Battle lines have been drawn between ruling and opposition parties in every constituency and a newly elected defecting MLA will find it very difficult to implement his promised works by interference of local powers who deliberately pull strings to stall any visible progress. The very purpose of a defection is defeated and development works are derailed. This exercise is a huge disappointment for the local people who elected them.
