Engineer’s Day is celebrated on September 15 in India (Sri Lanka and even Tanzania), honours the contributions of engineers and commemorates the birth anniversary of Sir Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a renowned Indian engineer and statesman. Sir Visvesvaraya is celebrated for his pioneering work in civil engineering and his significant contributions to India’s infrastructure development. However, on this important day, we witnessed some very shameful behaviour by Goa CM Pramod Sawant and to put in an objectively: On this event to celebrate Engineers day; Goa Chief Minister ensured that his intimidating police force kept many engineers out of the venue. This event sponsored by Bhutani Infra should have been avoided by Goa CM who had no time to meet up with Sancoale (Goan) residents protesting against the Bhutani 700+ apartment/pools projects at Sancoale; but can make time to meet this mega developer at their call (and this was not the first time!) CM also disrespected the National Anthem by leaving/walking away while the anthem was playing! Is this not anti-national behaviour?
