The organisers of Bryan Adams’ concert failed to manage parking arrangements for the large number of fans who travelled long distances to see their rock idol. An event of this scale should have been better planned, especially regarding parking for four-wheelers. Cars were parked haphazardly, including along the busy highway, creating a dangerous situation.
It is essential for event managers to select venues with adequate parking facilities. In today’s world, where almost everyone owns a car, and given Goa’s poor public transport system, better planning and consideration are critical when organising such events.
