Don’t surrender ethical values to please others

Ethics, a branch of philosophy, addresses questions of right and wrong, good and bad, and guides us with principles and moral values. Being ethical involves adhering to principles like honesty, equality, integrity, fairness, compassion, respect, and justice. It means being transparent, trustworthy, and clear in communication.

However, some people disguise themselves as ethical to win the trust of others, despite not being honest or truthful. They feel satisfied deceiving innocent people, which is unfortunate. Ethical behavior requires treating others justly, irrespective of race, gender, religion, rank, beliefs, and status.

There are also individuals who live ethically until they face situations where they compromise their principles to please others, neglecting their responsibilities and the consequences of their actions.

Ethics are not merely taught; they are intrinsic qualities. Ethical individuals listen to understand and strive to live harmoniously with others. As a guiding thought, "Principle and integrity are the cornerstones of any ethical life. Let us lead with respect for our own lives and those of others."
