GMC kiosk owners must be shown more empathy

Apropos to the report "Assurances won't do, want concrete action: Displaced GMC kiosk owners" (The Goan Everyday November 23, 2021).

The heart goes out to the displaced GMC kiosk owners who have been resorting to satyagraha to make their voice heard.
How can the political class be immune to the woes and sufferings of the hard working middle class?
The displaced GMC kiosk owners have been suffering daily losses. In this Covid-19 torn times when livelihoods have gone for a toss, our political class should show more empathy.
The displaced GMC kiosk owners have been consistent in their demands. Their rehabilitation plan is promised to them. And, this promise must be kept come whatever may.
In what can be termed a heart touching gesture, fruits and vegetables vendors have expressed their solidarity with their displaced kiosk brothers and sisters by not doing any business.
We poor men and women must stick together to fight for our rights. Or else, the divide and rule tactics will never allow any justice to prevail.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant seems to have taken up on himself the task of being the Election Commissioner too.
