Goa festival goes on as our troops were fighting enemy

It is learnt that despite court orders, mock drills and security alerts, there was no respite for residents of Vagator, Anjuna and nearby areas battling loud music and bright lights from dusk to dawn. The use of high-powered light beams by night clubs could have compromised security.  The Spirit of Goa Festival was held on May 2, 7 & 8 at the SAG Grounds, Colva.  It is pertinent to note that the Spirit of Goa Festival had been cancelled for May 3 and 4 due to the incident at the Shirgao Zatra. However when the festival continued on the last two days, our brave soldiers were guarding our borders fighting the Pakistani drone attacks. It is pertinent to note that the festival was not called off even when Goa conducted a mock drill and a black out on May 7. Is this the way we show our respect to the brave soldiers who are ready to lay down their lives so that we live in peace?  Heavens would not have fallen if the Spirit of Goa festival was postponed to a later date.
