Goa must break free from the drug mafia’s grip

Drug trafficking in Goa is fuelled by mafias who bring in substances from outside the state and use unemployed youths to supply them. These mafias lure youngsters with alcohol and free drugs, leading to addiction. College students are often targeted by peers linked to these networks. Drugs have now reached villages, cities, clubs, and beaches. Outsiders even grow drug plants in Goa. The trade continues because corrupt officials and politicians benefit from it, making drug lords fearless. Parents must stay alert, and youths must avoid bad company. It’s time for Goa to fight back and choose a safer path.
