Voters in Goa are clear about the change, but the Hobson's choice is still a dilemma. Both Congress and BJP seem to have outlived their utility and passed the period of expiry.
GFP and MGP also have been non-effective and weak forces. Hence there is a vacuum for emerging parties and aspirants.
AAP has been around for some time and may have not opened an account as yet but have the potential to do so. The Delhi govt under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal has shown the way and without much rhetoric and caustic campaign has brought to knees the might of Central government.
The services provided and schemes on health, water, education, electricity, transparency, service at door steps, handling of Covid and pollution have won the approval of the voters to propel the party in power a second time.
On the other hand TMC has retained power in Bengal, but has allowed the non-existent BJP to make deep in roads in winning number of seats. The fierce posture may be an indicator to take the Centre head on, but that's it. What progress is there for Goa to be enamoured and replicated here? At the moment the emphasis is on defections and poaching from other parties.
The choice for Goans is many, but an educated electorate will surely make a wise decision with a change visibly on the horizon.
