We have seen development of our once beautiful Goa in a haphazard way by bypassing all laws of nature to live and let live.
Mountains have been raised to the ground as though they never existed. We have lost the pristine hills and our precious paddy fields for highways running through Goa connecting two neighbouring States.
Presently, Mhadei, Mollem, Melauli, double-tracking are the main issues affecting the future of our little State.
Genuine protests by intellectual learned citizens of Goa are termed as anti-development by the ruling government. This government which hijacked the mandate of the people should show respect to people’s will and be more sensitive to the local issues and sentiments rather than getting bullied by the central agencies.
With central govt showing ignorance to the sentiments of Goans, it’s the duty of the local government to show apathy towards the devastation of Mother Nature.
Elected representatives are found hounding native Goans fighting to save Goa with arrests or banning them from entering villages. This is the height of the arrogance of any government.
The myth of having same party governments at the Centre and the State leads to better development has been busted as the Goa government has very little to bargain for in terms of Mhadei or Mollem.
The central govt is bulling the State and favouring bigger States and corporates but our government is still in denial.
