Govt seems not bothered about rent-a-car fatalities

In this week Goans have witnessed another tragic case at Candolim, of a couple hit by a tourist driving a rent-a-car.  These fatalities are now almost a regular occurrence and the Goa government particularly the Chief Minister and Transport Minister seems least bothered, to take urgent remedial measures,  As I drive around in Goa, I regularly see tourists driving their rent-a-cars in a very reckless/lawless manner and the Goa Police only take reactive action once a fatality has occurred. Why is the Goa government and police not taking proactive measures to stop the fatalities; though I would say that the buck finally stops with the Goa government; particularly the respective opportunistic Ministers/MLAs who have illegal settlements as votebanks, to  ensure their continuity in power and help them jump from one party to another. As mentioned before the only thing the Goa ministers are competent/efficient in is rapid sale, destruction, conversion of Goa's  environment, resources, to "specially" help specific real estate companies and the coal pollution lobby owned by crony capitalists. All else to benefit the common man is not their concern or priority.
