Govt should think twice before legalising Baina activities

Goa government is trying to legalise red light area in Goa. Late  CM Manohar Parrikar took bold step to remove red light area in Baina,Vasco and came out with constructive idea of having Ravindra Bhavan for people of Vasco. For many years Baina was known for such illegal activities. Now that government is trying to legalise it the same will affect youth and many will fall prey to such activities. As it is there are places in South Goa and North Goa where many young girls are employed for such activities. Many girls from other states  are either kidnapped with such motives or cheated in the name of giving employment in Goa. Some girls due to financial conditions and from  poor family  agree to go into flesh trade. Goa will become a centre for such activities as many tourists feel Goa is land of liquor, dance and fun. The government should promote Goa's art and culture and attract tourists by promoting its scenic beauty and a peaceful place for living. The decision to legalise such activities should be given second thought before taking State from good to worse.
