Har Ghar Tiranga needs support

Har Ghar Tiranga is a campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, urging Indian citizens to bring the national flag home and raise it in honour of India’s 78th independence anniversary. This initiative is a way to express national pride by hoisting the flag at home. All Indians should support this movement and display the Tricolour from 9th to 15th August.

While celebrating patriotic occasions, many people purchase paper and plastic flags. It is crucial to follow the Flag Code of 2002 and treat the flag with respect. Never throw the flag on the ground. The national flag should be folded before being stored. To do this, remove the flag from its placement and position it horizontally. Fold the saffron and green bands under the white band so that the saffron and green strips are visible. Ensure only the Ashoka Chakra and parts of the saffron and green bands are visible after folding the white band from either side to the centre. The flag can then be carried and stored properly.

I hold great respect for my motherland, India. I am proud to be an Indian. Our country is rich in natural beauty, history, culture, and traditions, with diverse religions, languages, cuisines, and dress codes. A big salute to our Indian Army, who protect our borders and keep us safe. We will always remember the great leaders and people who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. It is now time for politicians and the government of India to elevate our country by providing necessary facilities to the people and developing the nation without harming the environment.
