The recent reports by research firm Hindenburg on the publicly-traded firms of Gautam Adani have been shocking. The allegations have led to a decline in the fortunes of a man who until recently among the wealthiest people in the world.
Two important questions do come to my mind, 1. What would have been the consequences if an Indian had published the report?, and 2. With so many agencies at its disposal, how come these things not picked up in advance by the government?
