Despite several requests and pleas by people in Vasco to increase the number of buses to and from Panaji, the KTC is not bothered to do so.
In the morning peak hours between 8 to 9 am few buses ply on this route and many ladies have to stand in jam packed buses with inconvenience and travel to their work place.
The shuttle service has not started in regular pace and due to this commuters face hardship. Panjim being capital city and is via GMC, patients and visitors also travel in the same buses in morning who have OPD check up.
Though there is special bus to Taleigao and GMC, the demand for Panjim buses has increased. Also in the evening after office hours only 2 buses ply to Vasco while on other hand there are buses every 15 minutes plying to Margao.
Vasco is neglected by KTC and passengers are made to bear the brunt of poor service. It’s surprising that chairman of KTC is a Vasco-elected representative and is not concerned for people of Vasco.
The bus stand is also not in good condition and hence it requires urgent attention.
