India’s recent loss to England in the first Test is not to be blamed solely on the players as the pitch too played its part. Many years back the great Sunil Gavaskar played marvellous fifth day to draw the match when pitch was totally crumbled.
Similar things happened on last day at Chepauk but there was nobody to put up a fight except for captain Virat Kohli at one end.
If India had won the toss similar things would probably have happened. As is known, cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties and as regards to the pitch -- which was deteriorating day by day “ the results were there for everyone to see.
My only suggestion is our players should play with caution as Gavaskar deed at that time.
Now in second Test India has won the toss and England in its first innings is facing a similar situation. India should take full advantage and try to win the second Test.
