Let weather not be an excuse not to vote

The Lok Sabha elections are underway in our country. Our state is due to go to vote in  the third phase on May 7. As being reported in various sections of the media that voting in the first two phases held in various states the percentage of voting has been average. There have been various reasons being associated for this to happen, maybe due to the extreme weather conditions or other factors. Our state too is facing extreme heat and high humidity which could affect the voters. Many voters tend to either go to the polling booths early in the morning or late in the afternoon so as to avoid the heat. It would help if the authorities concerned would provide drinking water facilities  at all the polling booths so as to mitigate the hardships that voters would face due to the extreme heat. On another note, let us not allow these factors to be an excuse for us to avoid casting our precious vote. Let us as citizens of India perform our duty conscientiously and assert our rights so as to build a vibrant democracy.
