The BJP was racing towards power in the Hindi heartland States of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and had a distinct edge in Chhattisgarh while the Congress was poised to oust the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi in Telangana in a crucial electoral exercise.
The said elections are considered as semi final to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls which are just months away.
It seemed to be pro-incumbency in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and anti-incumbency in the Congress-ruled States of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
It looks like Kamal Nath’s Sanathan Dharm and Hanuman Bhakti had little impact on Congress voters.
It's now time for Congress to do a detailed analysis of its failure in the three States.
The only consolation for the grand old party is Telangana -- the only State which has always been against BJP where Congress has been able to lead with large margin against BRS lead by K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Anyway, it’s time to celebrate for the saffron party which has put up another commendable performance under the leadership of our prime minister.
