It is shameful that Mapusa councillors fled to Dubai, leaving residents stranded with floods, garbage, and other problems. They said the trip was planned a long time ago, but if anyone truly cared about the city, they would have postponed it. No one should make excuses for such careless behaviour.
All of Goa has turned into a political battlefield, with everyone giving weak excuses to avoid responsibility. Aren’t they getting paid enough to do their job properly? Shame on you. As the saying goes, “As the king, so the subjects.”
