Nauxim project area falls in heritage zone

A party has filed for approval of their project at Nauxim, to build a jetty. It has been claimed that they propose to invest Rs 350 crores. The exact location of their project needs to be verified and reported as a coloured area on a full-scale map. As per media reports it is 1 lakh sqm. How much has been invested already in the project ? Constructed infrastructure should also been shown and costs incurred. The Nauxim area falls in a heritage zone. There are two ancient precincts in the area. The Ancient Port of Gopakapattanam and Goa's Ancient Chunnel. Do the propagators of the project claim ignorance of this. Given that where was the need to research the Nauxim area in the libraries of Mumbai ?  Locals in the area need to keep tabs on the operational area of the project. That it does'nt go beyond set boundaries and also on the nature of equipment and materials brought to the area. Goans are ignorant of their own history. Goans in Mumbai with access to resources have done nothing to change this. As a result, outsiders have capitalized on our ignorance.
