It is hard for any Goan to learn about aged parents being brutally harassed and manhandled by their son and his wife and another old mother being heartlessly treated by her own two daughters at Benaulim and Varca in South Goa respectively. The sickening reason -- evil eyes on their assets and property. Where are all the upbringing, love, and sacrifices that parents have made to protect their children since birth -- grooming, nursing, educating, and even gracing all occasions, and yet some children, for greed of their assets, don't mind their old parents being bruised and physically hurt? It is utterly shameful for any adult to disrespect the mother in particular, who gave birth to that being, nursed with tender care, and further brought up with good values, prayers and blessings. Such children feel that the parents have done their duty, not a big deal ” such ruthless children will only remember when history repeats itself. It is true to endorse, “Parents are living gods.
