This year Vasco Damodar saptah was celebrated in big way as last 2 years celebrations were on low note restricted due to Covid-19. There was a huge crowd of devotees from all over Goa visiting the temple. The Vasco saptah committee along with municipality should have come with road map and parking slots for two wheelers and four wheelers. The giant wheel for children was erected opposite Tanya Hotel, near railway bridge which was usually used for parking four wheelers but this time all those vehicles coming from other cities did not know there was no parking facility at this place. Hence there was traffic jam witnessed on Sunday from morning till late night from Varunapuri to St Andrew's Church square. Both saptah committee and municipality with police authorities should have meeting well in advance and chalk out plan to arrange parking, road map and also toilet facilities which was lacking in the city. Many shopkeepers who install shops are from far away and hence they require proper toilet facility. The present temporary toilet facilities have proven to be unhygienic. There should be proper toilet facility for public and stall owners.
