Firstly I want to be clear that I have serious differences with the way RGP operates! They do have some genuine issues like the POGO bill but the way they strategize, is very faulty. The ruling BJP clearly has anti-Goan interests and actually more interested in land grab/conversion/destruction, so as to favour real estate entities, land sharks, celebrities, central political bosses etc from outside Goa for “mega-money”. The Goa Assembly is a place where MLAs have the freedom to speak on their resolutions -- why did Chief Minister Pramod Sawant jump in a dictatorial manner and stop the St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar from speaking on his POGO resolution? Should the MLA Viresh at least be allowed to speak in the Goa Assembly on the POGO issue? It appears to me that the BJP government is misusing the “Goan” term for its ulterior political motives. I think the POGO issue/bill needs to be discussed properly in the house and I hope that the Chief Minister and Speaker allow the same in the true spirit of a democracy
