Opposition alliance 'aircraft' fails to take off in State

The much-talked-about "grand-alliance" aircraft involving the Congress, the Goa Forward Party (GFP) and the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) as expectedly has almost failed to take off as leaders of these parties wanted to be the main pilots of this ill-fated plane. Hey, if leaders of the above opposition parties think that they can easily defeat the BJP candidates in the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections by putting up their own party candidates then they are living in a fool's paradise.  Because if the BJP is having the last laugh in the state during most elections in the recent years, that's due to the stubborness of these opposition leaders who are splitting the secular votes. Well, leaders of the opposition parties should come to their senses because BJP candidates can be easily defeated in the state, by putting up just one common candidate everywhere backed by all opposition parties. Such a direct one-to-one fight can finally show where the BJP really stands.
