The Vasco kidnapping incident raised eyebrows as a law and order problem in Goa but no person looks to be safe in Goa from thieves to smugglers of drugs as this drug menace has reached schools and colleges which will be difficult to contain if not nipped from the bud.
When a small boy was being kidnapped by a man in Vasco the people around saw this and in a fit of anger assaulted the man with kicks and sticks causing injuries to the man who was later told by the police he was mentally challenged person and admitted in Institue of Psychiatry for treatment and three persons were arrested for assaulting the man.
The people did not know that the person who tried to kidnap was a mentally challenged and it was only in a fit af anger and may be they were parents who know the value of children they decided to assault the man which was not a pre planned attack so the law should be lenient in such a circumstances but the PI says people should not take law in their hands. But if that was a real kidnapping and the boy was kidnapped than it would have been a loss to their parents and sleepless nights if any untoward incident happened to the child. The PI and his police force also should not take law in their hands while dealing with public in police station.
