During rainy season we often notice two-wheeler riders/pillion holding an umbrella in one hand while riding the vehicle. However, such a practice turns dangerous not only for the concerned rider but also for fellow travellers and pedestrians. There is every possibility of riders losing balance and collapsing to the ground. In the process, precious human lives are likely to be severely injured. In case of a major mishap, not only the rider but even a pedestrian or fellow traveller may lose his/her life on the spot. Public at large must be assured safety on a permanent basis. Hence the higher officials at the Regional Transport Offices (RTO) and the traffic cell should remain alert in above matter and prohibit use of an umbrella on two-wheelers while driving. The defaulters must be levied hefty fines so that the dangerous practice is discouraged once and for all. Necessary positive steps in this direction would be appreciated by one and all.
